What is an AR-15?
An AR-15 is the civilian version of the military M16 rifle.

Can I put a foregrip on my AR-15 style pistol?
No. The addition of a foregrip or a buttstock converts your AR-15 pistol into a short-barrel rifle and will earn you 10 years as a guest of the state. In other words, it's a felony.

There's a book on the market that says you can buy a partially completed lower receiver and build anything you want to on it and you don't have to report it. Is this true?
Absolutely not. Construction or assembly of an M16 even on a partially completed lower receiver would be a violation of Federal Law. Don't try this at home.

Will my AR-15 lower receiver mate to any AR-15 upper receiver?
Maybe. Some older Colts require a front-pin adapter and some are made to slightly different specifications. All uppers can be made to fit the lower, but you generally have to know what you're doing.

Can I buy AR-15 bolt and lower receiver parts at the gun show and be sure of what I am buying?
Yes...If you know what you're looking for. There are specific parts that were made for the M16 that will fit an AR-15, and you can buy them relatively cheaply. However, according to the BATFE, POSSESSION of M16 parts and an AR-15--installed, or not--will earn you a free 10-year vacation from the Federal Government. So, unless you know how to tell the difference between an M16 and an AR-15 trigger group or bolt carrier group, buy your parts from a reputable dealer.

What is the shortest barrel length on an AR-15 legal for civilian purchase?
16 inches not including the removable flash suppressor. Any thing shorter than 16 inches MUST be registered through the BATFE.

Will the 416 H&K be released?
As of January of 2008, H&K hasn't made a decision to release this rifle.

What do I use to lubricate my FN PS90 or FS2000?
Per Bill at the FN Custom Shop any good gun lube product will work. They recommend that you not use anything with a Teflon base. Do NOT overlubricate as it will slow down your rifle.
